If everyone would simply separate the paper, plastic, glass and aluminum products from the trash and tossed them is a recycling bin, we could decrease the amount of waste sent to landfills by 75% . Currently it takes the area the size of Pennsylvania to dump all our waste.

Old Computers

The following locations refurbish and/or recycle your old computers, monitors, speakers, cellphones and more,

  • Pima Computer Recycling: 1134 S. Park Ave.; 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. weekdays; 623-7162.
  • Chaparral Foundation Computer Hospital: 4585 E. Speedway, Suite 104; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays; 795-8375.

ABOPC: Antifreeze, Batteries, Oil, Paint & Computers
These items can be dropped off with no fee at a special household hazardous waste collection site across from the scale house at Los Reales Landfill:

  • Antifreeze,
  • Batteries (auto and dry)
  • Motor oil (5 gallon maximum size)
  • Paint (25 cans maximum)
  • Computers (One per household; for multiple computers call 623-7162)

This site cannot accept business-generated waste.

The City’s Los Reales Landfill

5300 E. Los Reales Road (Craycroft Road exit south off I-10)
7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday (Sunday for residential traffic only)
